2008 MTV VMAs rain on SoCal (and the WORLD!)

[slideshow=33]  This first week in September will be marked by a handful of hot parties sprawled across this glorious city like music-and-pop-culture-fetti raining down to celebrate the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.  Many of our nations most infamous moments went down on this side-show stage, including Britney’s heyday performance with a giant albino snake, Britney Christina Barcelona Madonna’s three-way kissssss and Britney’s “comeback” tragedy last year. Not to mention crazy musical collaborations and a star-studded lineup of hosts, presenters and the rest of z-list saps who are occasionally panned in the audience.This year’s installment will air live from the Paramount Lot on Sunday, September 7th at 9pm ET/PT. We love live.
