Pamper Me Fabulous-minus the pamper part.

As I arrived at Pamper Me Fabulous last Saturday, March 7, I was SO excited! The building (Vibiana) was BEAUTIFUL, the decorations, amazing, the mini pink cocktails flowing. I joined up with a couple girlfriends and set out to explore.

In the back cabana area we were treated to delicious pastries, mini cupcakes (my favorite!) and coffee, juice and energy drinks and water. Women were speaking about empowerment, health and other issues pertinent to women. It didn’t hurt that it was a painfully gorgeous day.

Back inside, we were geared up to get some services! I saw a woman getting her teeth bleached, another getting her hair done, several receiving Thai massages (with what looked like small masseuses dancing on their backs!) and several more getting mani-pedis. I couldn’t decide what to do first!

Fortunately, or unfortunately, actually, I would never have to decide at all. Apparently the services were only guaranteed to VIP ticket holders. I heard that general ticket holders could purchase spa tickets for $30 each, which both of my girlfriends and I were more than happy and eager to do, but that proved to be false as we tried to obtain a bit of bliss to no avail. We were informed that they were sold out of tickets and that there no services left to be had…despite the fact that we had confirmed there WAS room with several of the vendors.

After a lot of back and forth it became evident that the event was not as well organized as it could have/should have been, and as it appeared to be.

Basically, purchasing a general ticket gets you in, and a few tasty tidbits along with a couple miniature cocktails. You can also shop in the market area, but that’s a hefty price tag just to look at a few bath/beauty items.

Bottom Line: GREAT idea, poor execution.

I would go again, but would make sure to purchase VIP tickets ($100 each, include 2 spa services) and get there early, otherwise there’s really no point. At least I know 10% of the ticket sales went to Step Up Women’s Network, and I got a swag bag with several awesome products.

The outdoor area featured cabanas for lounging and listening to speakers.
